Keith R. Keith R. Swanson, MD, FACS, FAAOS, attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas, where he received his medical degree. Then, he served his internship at at the University of California at Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. Following the completion of his internship, he joined the US Army and served as a medical officer stationed in Germany. Upon returning to the U.S., he then conducted his orthopedic surgery residency at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, California, and Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition, Dr. Swanson received board certification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He remains an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
